SAIC is seeking an Army Recon Attack Aviation & Maneuver Support Planner to join our team supporting United States Army Central (USARCENT) at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.

This position will have some Overseas travel to Austere Locations.

The Army Recon Attack Aviation & Maneuver Support Planner will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:

  • Provide conceptual design, coordination, and analytical support to assist Government planners with Army Aviation missions in support of multiple named operations. 
  • Provides subject matter expert (SME) analysis and recommendations to Government decision-makers. 
  • Provide coordination and support to Government planners across Warfighting Functions and provide SME support to the Government's designated liaisons within USARCENT, CFLCC, and joint/coalition planners to assist Government integration of Army Aviation capabilities.
  • Draft innovative mission and aviation maneuver concepts; develop draft Concepts of Operation (CONOPs) for specific aviation missions.
  • Analyze the operational environment to identify opportunities and risks for Government consideration. 
  • Provide SME input on the employment of Army Aviation platforms. 
  • Develop draft briefings, reports, and documentation for Government review

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree. 

 

Required Clearance: 

  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required. 

 

Required Skills: 

  • Military aviation schooling, Officer / Warrant Officer professional military education (PME), or equivalent operational experience.
  • 8-10 years relevant Army reconnaissance, attack aviation, UAS, or maneuver planning experience at brigade, division, corps, ASCC, or joint level
  • Experience supporting aviation mission planning, personnel recovery planning, and/or operational concept development; familiarity with applicable Army aviation planning systems, processes, and doctrine
