SAIC is seeking a highly qualified Asset Management professional to support the USSOCOM SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) contract. Your career at SAIC enables USSOCOM to fulfill its mission to “Provide fully capable Special Operations Forces (SOF) to defend the United States and its interests and synchronize planning for global operations against terrorist networks.” As a member of our team, you will support the vice president of the Enterprise Operations Group (EOG) as we partner with SOF military and civilian members to provide world-class IT services and support that connects over 60,000 users around the world in the areas of software development/maintenance, network services, security, end-user computing, and test and evaluation. This position is based at Naval Amphibious Base in Coronado, California. 

The Asset Manager provides asset management services and inventory control analysis to maintain consistent accountability of Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) assets supporting the SOF Information Environment (SIE). Additionally, the Asset Manager:

  • Recommends and supports the development and maintenance of approved processes for managing and tracking the full IT asset, license, and maintenance lifecycle from procurement to retirement.
  • Documents and coordinates shipping and receiving of ADPE assets, accountability of inventory, short term storage facilities of computer/communications-related assets, and distribution of hardware, as directed by the Government.
  • Ensures that ADPE hardware and software are properly received in an IT Service Management (ITSM) approved database, documented in accordance with Personal Property Management (PPM) requirements, stored, and disbursed to the required user to maintain good supply and accountability of ADPE.
  • Recommends and supports the development and maintenance of approved processes for managing and tracking the full IT asset, license, and maintenance lifecycle from procurement to retirement.
  • Recommends and supports the development and maintenance of, and updates approved policies and procedures for effective asset lifecycle management (acquisition, deployment, utilization, de-installation, reallocation, and disposal).
  • Coordinates shipment plans to ensure efficient distribution of products to satisfy customer requirements. Analyzes inventory levels and product demand to determine reorder levels, ensuring product availability and minimizing inventory costs.
  • Advises and supports accountability of assigned products; determines appropriate distribution based on lead times and demand.
  • Ensures property is uniquely identified and that changes are tracked and recorded in accordance with PPM requirements. Ensures property is uniquely identified and changes are tracked and recorded.
  • Inspects goods and materials and assesses the condition of assets for distribution/recycling.
  • Coordinates the disposal of property, supplies, and materiel in compliance with Government and service regulations/guidelines and documentation requirements. 
  • Maintains records of acquisition/distribution of property, supplies, and materials by utilizing applicable processes.
  • Processes excess ADPE as identified by the Government using DoD procedures.
  • Aids with completing quarterly and annual inventories.
  • Recommends metrics, gathering data, and reporting on the effectiveness of the IT asset management processes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree & 5+ years of experience, OR Master's Degree & 3+ years of experience, OR 9+ years of experience in lieu of degree. 
  • Top Secret Clearance required to start, must be able to obtain a TS/SCI. 
  • Three years of experience in an IT and Asset Management position. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to brief senior military and government leaders.

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience with Microsoft Enterprise Licensing.
  • Experience with BMC Remedy Asset Management module.
  • Prior experience supporting an enterprise level IT contract in a DoD organization. 
  • ITIL Foundations or higher level ITIL certification.

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
