SAIC's Space & Intel Business Group, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, is seeking a Cloud Developer to accelerate the timely, reliable, and secure delivery of open source data, information, and insights. The Customer requires specialized skills in could development of relevant processes, tools, and integrated systems to format, load, analyze, and display large-volume data streams, arriving in a variety of formats.
This position is currently located in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate with multiple entities, including mission partners, to ensure tools meet defined requirements.
- Apply DevOps principles and philosophies to continuously deliver high value enhancements to software in a service-based architecture.
- Ensure all application security vulnerabilities are addressed as appropriate by severity to maintain security accreditation.
- Support data engineering efforts to analyze large data sets to derive data relationships.
- Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot various codebases deployed in a multi-cloud environment.
- Maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, hardware and networks.
- Manage and mitigate IT security vulnerabilities and apply security controls.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Bachelors and 14 years or more experience; Masters and 12 years or more experience; PhD or JD and 9 years or more experience.
- Demonstrated experience with the following:
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting.
- Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting, and managing software, hardware, and networks.
- Working within cloud computing environments, Linux, and Unix-based operating systems.
- Platform and application automated deployment.
- Using AWS to include S3, EBS, and EC2.
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated experience managing and mitigating IT security vulnerabilities using Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAMs).
- Experience applying FISMA security controls.
- Ability to document and communicate technical and non-technical mission requirements for all audiences.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines to support a multi-tenant environment.
- Knowledge and experience in cloud deployment, DevOps, containerization, web service and API management, and computing optimization.
- Ability to use JIRA or Confluence.
- Experience in cloud database, storage, virtualization, and network configurations
- Experience incorporating automated software quality checks, security scanning, infrastructure-as-code, and other modern DevSecOps tools and practices.
