Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Configuration Analyst to join our talented team. In this role, you will be responsible for documenting and tracking all aspects of system development and modifications, ensuring configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations. You will prepare deviations and waivers, review document change requests and associated drawings, structure and maintain databases, submit engineering changes for customer approval, and prepare configuration verification audit records.
Work is performed on site in Norfolk, VA and Virginia Beach, VA.
This position is contingent upon award news Spring of 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design product changes and analyze the effects of the overall system.
- Assist in documenting and tracking all aspects of system development and modifications.
- Ensure configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations.
- Prepare deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be met.
- Review all issued document change requests, document change notices and associated drawings for accuracy, completeness and proper signatures.
- Structure and maintain databases.
- Submit engineering changes to customers for review and approval; maintains records and submit reports regarding status.
- Prepare configuration verification audit record sheets for all programs.
- Contribute to configuration management plans and policies.
- Maintain a configuration baseline for systems.
- Review change requests, ensuring proper change control procedures are followed.
- Monitor system configurations for compliance and identify potential issues.
- Assist in configuration audits and generate reports on findings.
- Create and maintain comprehensive configuration documentation.
- Generate clear and concise reports on configuration changes and status.
- Collaborate with system administrators, developers, and other stakeholders to manage configuration changes.
- Troubleshoot configuration issues and implement corrective actions.
- Continuously improve configuration management processes and tools.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors and three (3) years of professional experience in configuration management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to clearly define and categorize Configuration Items (CIs) across hardware, software, and network components.
- Ability to identify critical attributes of each CI for effective tracking and management.
- Ability to manage change requests through a structured process, including impact analysis and approvals.
- Version control and baseline management to track configuration updates.
- Maintain accurate records of system configurations and their current state.
- Ability to generate reports on configuration status and compliance.
- Ability to identify deviations from established baselines and initiating corrective actions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated communication and documentation skills.
Required Security Clearance:
- US Citizenship required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
- Active Interim Secret or final Secret clearance is preferred.
