SAIC is seeking a Cyber Architect for its customers Cybersecurity Team! This is a role heavily focused on solving complex security and governance challenges in multiple classified cloud environments with a high-performing team of collaborative professionals.
This cybersecurity team is responsible for planning, strategy, and deployment of Secure USSF Cloud Initiatives, designed to be a part of a DevSecOps initiative, provide real introspection of the security layers of the customers clouds and workloads, and assist in providing a positive end user experience for the USSF. We are looking for talent primarily in Vandenberg, CA, Colorado Springs, CO, and El Segundo, CA for hybrid work situation. Each of the roles require differing levels of clearance, ranging from Secret to Top Secret/SCI. Depending on the skillsets in demand, remote availability may be acceptable with travel and applicable access to SCIFs.
This work supports the USSF Operational C2 Mission under Kobayashi Maru. USSF has multiple cloud environments in an existing global, interconnected, disparate, virtualized, hybrid, and Enterprise IT infrastructure hosting mission systems, applications, services, and data that serves the U.S. Space Force (USSF) and other Government Customers. OSC2 LOE1 facilitates the Government's efforts to operate and maintain current environments, while assisting with the migration of applications to multiple cloud environments, allowing for increased efficiencies across the entire spectrum of the USSF operations. This may include the need for work in SSP creation which will feed into working an active ATO.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive cyber architecture solutions to support the mission of the USSF, ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives.

Lead the design and integration of complex cybersecurity systems, ensuring high levels of security, performance, classification resilience, and reliability.

Identify and mitigate cyber risks through proactive measures and robust security protocols.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders, to ensure cohesive cybersecurity strategies.

Evaluate new and emerging technologies for potential integration into existing architecture, ensuring the adoption of best-in-class solutions.

Ensure that all cybersecurity solutions comply with federal regulations and industry standards.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Min. 14 years of overall experience

A minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a senior architectural role, preferably within a governmental or defense environment.

Deep knowledge of multiple levels of cybersecurity frameworks, cyber threat intelligence, and security operations.

Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.
- Must have a TS/SCI Clearance.
Required Certifications:

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or equivalent

Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or equivalent

CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification.

Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Experience (Nessus / Tenable Security Center).

Previous experience working with military or government agencies, particularly in roles relating to space or defense.

Commitment to staying updated with the latest in cybersecurity trends and technological advancements.
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
