SAIC has an opening for an Electronic Security Systems Technician billet in Arlington, VA. SAIC is recognized as an IT leader in the intelligence and law enforcement spaces. This exciting opportunity will be supporting the United States Marshals Services' unique mission needs. We are seeking an individual to join the team who is fully committed to the success of USMS programs and bringing the best innovation, implementation, and attitudes to bear to the position. 

Description of Duties:   

The Electronic Security Systems Technician will provide preventive maintenance, repairs, replacement, lifecycle upgrades and installation to meet equipment deficiencies, assessed security vulnerabilities, of Physical Access Control System (PACS) and any new/additionally installed GSA system components to support the facility's Closed Circuit Video Equipment (CCVE), Intrusion Detection System (IDS), voice intercom system (VIS), and associated supporting equipment and as requested. Additionally, the candidate will:

  • Practice good safety measures with tools and equipment 
  • Use diagnostic equipment/software and established troubleshooting techniques to isolate network deficiencies, equipment failures and operational anomalies 
  • Adhere to all Company and Client policies and procedures 
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of PACS hardware, intrusion detection, CCTV equipment and public address systems 
  • Have technical experience and familiarity with specific ESS platforms to support the following systems: C*CURE 9000 Access Control, Hirsch Velocity, and Bosch Video Management System
  • Other duties as assigned 
     

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills/Attributes:  

·        Secret clearance or above

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience on maintenance and repairs on ESS systems 
  • NICET certification 
  • PSP certification

Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:  

  • Ability to read, interpret electrical schematics and architectural drawings 
  • Windows based operating systems, intermediate level proficiency 
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), intermediate level proficiency 
  • Must have strong oral and written communications skills
