SAIC is seeking an Electronics Technician in Charleston, SC.

Job Duties:

• Maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication, sonar, and navigational aids); personal and main frame computers and terminals, industrial, medical, measuring, and controlling equipment; and industrial robotic devices.
• Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skill in restoring equipment operation, Evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
• Applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.
• This person works under close supervision receiving technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician. 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent (GED) and two (2) years related experience.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
• Must have the ability to operate effectively in a team environment and able to take direction and constructive criticism. 
• Must be a US Citizen. 
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 40 lbs.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficient at soldering, cable dressing, and repairing connectors.
