SAIC has an immediate need for an Embedded Enterprise Architect to support the Improved Data Modem (IDM) program located onsite at Redstone Arsenal, AL. 

Job Description:

• The candidate will apply expertise and provide guidance on software development and engineering on an embedded system on the Improved Data Modem (IDM) program and other programs involving embedded systems as applicable. 
• The candidate will port legacy code from LynxOS / Intel to Wind River Linux / Power PC OS/Platform and be able to integrate software into Apache, Blackhawk, and Chinook aircraft
• The candidate will lead effort to update the IDM software versions, manage and monitor Blue Force Tracker (BFT) 1, BFT2, and MIL-STD-188-220 Networks, and be able to use GNAT Ada and GCC C/C++ compilers 
• ·   The candidate will provide enterprise architecture expertise to translate an enterprise strategy into a future enterprise architecture and formulate a transition plan to achieve that future state and identify future capabilities
• ·   The candidate must be able to analyze and reversed-engineer complex lines of embedded, soft real-time IDM Ada and C/C++ code for multiple product versions on different hardware platforms

Qualifications

Required Education:

• BS degree ad eighteen+ (18+) years of experience

Required Skills: 

• Expert skills in C, C++, WindRiver Linux, Integrated Development Environment (IDE), software development processes and procedures, full software development lifecycle, Agile/Scrum development processes, multi-threaded and/or multi-process applications, developing software unit tests and component (integration) level tests, TCP/IP/UDP, Green Hills MULTI IDE, INTEGRITY-178 tuMP RTOS, TOS, ARINC-653 systems, Perl and Bash shell scripts, Azure DevOps, defense systems and communication protocols: MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-6017, MIL-STD-47001, and network architecture

Required Clearance:

• An active Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required)
