Job Summary:
SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented HR Business Intelligence Developer/Analyst with expertise in Oracle HCM, Oracle OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence), Oracle BI Publisher, SQL, and statistical analytics. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting HR data, providing insights to support decision-making, and developing reports and dashboards that enhance organizational performance.
This position may be remote anywhere in the US for the right candidate.
You will work closely with the HR and IT teams to ensure data integrity, develop complex reports, and deliver metrics that drive overall HR strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analytics & Reporting:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance HR reports and dashboards using Oracle HCM, OTBI, BI Publisher, Taleo OBI, and PowerBI.
- Create reports and manipulate large datasets using SQL to uncover trends, patterns, and insights related to HR functions (e.g., recruitment, employee turnover, compensation, performance).
- Generate periodic HR metrics reports (KPIs, benchmarks, etc.) and present findings to HR leadership and other stakeholders.
- Conduct statistical analysis to assess the impact of HR initiatives and provide data-driven recommendations.
HR Data Management:
- Ensure data quality and integrity by conducting regular audits and troubleshooting data discrepancies across HR systems.
- Partner with HRIS and IT teams to optimize the use of Oracle HCM and associated reporting tools to streamline data collection and reporting processes.
Dashboard & Visualizations:
- Design and implement dynamic dashboards for HR leadership, leveraging OTBI, BI Publisher, and PowerBI to visualize key HR metrics (headcount, turnover, DE&I, etc.).
- Create customized, user-friendly dashboards tailored to specific business needs across various departments.
Collaboration & Consultation:
- Collaborate with business partners to understand reporting needs and develop data models that align with organizational goals.
- Provide consultative support, offering data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making and workforce planning.
- Train HR team members on report generation and data interpretation using Oracle reporting tools.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on Oracle HCM and OTBI best practices, system updates, and emerging trends in HR analytics.
- Recommend process improvements and enhancements to ensure accurate, timely, and comprehensive reporting.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field and 10+ years of experience, or a Master's degree and 8+ years of experience, or a PhD or JD and 5+ years of experience. An additional 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
- 10 or more years of related experience preferably in HR data analysis or HRIS, within a large organization.
- Proven expertise in Oracle HCM, OTBI, Oracle BI Publisher, and SQL.
- Strong background in HR metrics, data visualization, and statistical analysis.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with Oracle HCM and OTBI for developing reports and dashboards.
- Experience with BI Publisher for report generation and customization.
- Proficiency in statistical tools and techniques (e.g., regression analysis, forecasting, correlation analysis).
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively across HR, IT, and other business units.
- Self-motivated and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with additional HRIS platforms or tools.
- Certification in HR Analytics or Oracle HCM.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
