SAIC is seeking to provide an Information Technology (IT) Representative to support the US Army Reserves Military Intelligence Readiness Command (MIRC). This position is at the Military Intelligence Readiness Command (MIRC) at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. 

The position is primarily on site; some limited remote telework may be available subject to customer requirements.

Job Duties:

Network Security and System Administration

  • Implement and enforce DoD cybersecurity policies and protocols to safeguard classified information and communications.
  • Ensure compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and maintain a secure network environment.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Manage classified login tokens, including issuance, revocation, and troubleshooting for smart cards and PKI-based authentication.

Customer Support and Troubleshooting

  • Provide technical assistance to users for network access, endpoint devices, peripherals, VOIP phones, and software applications.
  • Resolve classified and unclassified system issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist with account management, including user permissions, access control, and token management for SIPR and NIPR environments.
  • Troubleshoot classified tokens, Common Access Card (CAC) authentication issues, and login failures.

Endpoint Device Management and Imaging

  • Perform imaging and deployment of classified and unclassified systems in accordance with DoD security policies.
  • Configure endpoints with the latest security patches, approved software, and system baselines.
  • Provide ongoing system updates and lifecycle management for SIPR and NIPR computers.

Hardware and Peripherals Support

  • Diagnose and repair hardware issues for classified communication devices, workstations, and networking equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain VOIP devices to ensure secure and uninterrupted communication services.
  • Support secure peripherals such as classified printers, smart card readers, and encrypted external storage devices.
  • Perform cable and fiber optic maintenance for SIPRNet and NIPRNet connectivity.

Network Documentation and Compliance

  • Maintain and update network documentation, including configurations, security settings, and procedural guides.
  • Ensure Tenant Security Plan (TSP) artifacts remain current and compliant with DoD standards.
  • Provide detailed reports on system configurations, user access, and security measures as required.

Collaboration with Outside Agencies

  • Coordinate with DoD and non-DoD agencies to ensure seamless integration of classified communication services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve inter-agency classified network issues.
  • Collaborate with IT security personnel, network administrators, and military leadership to align security and operational goals.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) or more related experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with DoD cybersecurity policies and protocols
  • Background managing classified login tokens and PKI-based authentication
  • Experience performing imaging and configuration 
  • Experience maintaining and updating network documentation, including configurations, security settings, and procedural guides
  • Experience working with SIPRNet and NIPRNet 

Travel:

  • Up to 10% travel may be required

Clearance:

  • Required Secret clearance to start with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Desired Certifications:

  • Sec+ or higher certification
  • CCNA or higher certification
  • SCP or higher certification

SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
