SAIC is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer to support the U.S. Army Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) and Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development contract to develop, and evaluate distributed learning solutions, including storyboards and scenario-based instruction.
NOTE: This position is 100% Remote / Work from Home.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Analyze training needs and develop solutions by identifying training requirements and creating tailored solutions to meet those needs.
- Develop both asynchronous and synchronous instructional materials suitable for immersive and distributed learning environments.
- Perform detailed development, testing, and maintenance of course materials or courseware.
- Work with instructors, SMEs, and multimedia developers to design, develop, and evaluate distributed learning solutions, including storyboards and scenario-based instruction.
- Advise customers on innovative training solutions and curriculum development to enhance learning effectiveness.
- Monitor project progress, assess and manage risks, report on KPIs, and maintain documentation, while serving as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Level I - Bachelor's degree and five (5)+ years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
- Level II - Bachelor's and six (6)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Clearance:
- Must possess an active Interim Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a full Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required.
Required Skills:
- Experience with curriculum design/development and learning solutions.
- Experience using instructional design models such as Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE) OR Successive Approximation Model (SAM).
- Knowledge and understanding of Bloom's Taxonomy.
- Familiar with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience collecting, compiling, analyzing and synthesizing learner/customer feedback.
Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
