SAIC is seeking an IT Systems Engineer for the Joint Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) program based out of Panama City, FL.
The qualified candidate will support the Joint & Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) program RDT&E team, providing systems and engineering support in accordance with stakeholder tasking to the RDT&E team.
JOB Responsibilities:
• Responsible for building systems, organizing communication between functional areas for required media, and integrating patches & merge request into the build procedures and media (e.g. for "manual" build process).
• Care & maintenance of systems installed labs, support centers, and site deliveries.
• Generation, engineering, and documentation for engineering and software change requests.
• Responsible for development of scripts & procedures to provide major architectural updates to existing systems in the field, engineering and software change request documentation.
• Work with cyber security office (CSO) on closing vulnerabilities and remediating other security issues.
• Responsible for the management of all code & repos used within the organization.
• Develop code/scripts for other miscellaneous organizational areas and integrating with research and development (R&D) efforts into field-ready, mature solutions
• Develop new Terraform and Ansible code towards automating system deployments.
• Manage and maintain deployments of various environments consisting of both infrastructure and software deployments and including operating systems of commercial software
• Work with other engineers to assist in the design, development, and maintenance of networks
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
o Bachelors and 1 years or more related experience or four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Skills:
o Developing new Terraform and Ansible code towards automating system deployments.
o Experience with managing and maintaining deployments of various environments, consisting of both infrastructure and software deployments, including operating systems and commercial software.
o Experience with code version control tools.
o Experience configuring and managing network technologies, including routing, VLANs, and firewall configurations
o Knowledge of AGILE working methodologies
Clearance Requirements:
o Ability to acquire and maintain Active Secret clearance
Required Certification:
o Candidate must have a Security+ certification prior to first day.
