SAIC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Hanahan, SC.

The Mechanical Engineer will:

• Develop static and dynamic design and analysis of mechanical systems, equipment and packages.
• Review performance specifications and continuously track all metrics to ensure prototype designs and systems are in accordance with the customer's needs and requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
• Utilizes Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Software to ensure designs meet all anticipated load and vibration profiles.
• Direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.
• Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation. Review and approve all drafting documentation.

Qualifications

Education and experience:

• Bachelor's Degree and five (5) or more years of experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Required skills:

• Must have design experience.
• Must have Solidworks experience.

Required clearance:

• US Citizenship is required to meet the security requirements for this contract.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Desired skills:

• CREO & ANSYS experience.
• Windchill experience.
