SAIC is seeking a Task Manager/ Project Coordinator to support a DC Government customer. This position will be 100% remote but may require occasional travel into our customer site in DC. The Task Manager supports the Program Manager in managing day-to-day operations, vender coordination, and program execution. 

This role has a targeted funding duration of 6 to 8 weeks. There is a chance it may get extended but not confirmed. 

The Task Manager/ Project Coordinator oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and customer management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Responsible for ensuring the delivery of contract requirements.  Assignments are task or activity oriented. Work reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall quality and efficiency.

Additional Responsibilities may include:

  • Helps to manage experienced professionals (e.g. engineers, scientists, financial analysts) who exercise discretion and independent judgment performing assignments
  • Vendor coordination – Coordinate HVAC, Electrical, and Cabling projects with customer and subcontractors
  • Primary liaison between customer Project Managers and subcontractors
  • Collecting project requirements and generating detailed statements of work (SOWs)
  • Ad hoc reporting requirements by the government and Program
  • Tracking Project status and ensuring timely delivery

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related discipline and 3+ years of experience
  • Possession of excellent stakeholder management skills 
  • Basic understanding of infrastructure technologies, including storage, networking, virtualization, and associated implementation and migration processes, as well as the latest project management practices and standards a plus
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification a plus
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
