SAIC is seeking a Project Lead to support the AF TENCAP HOPE 2.0 contract. This contract bridges intelligence community collection architectures, capabilities, and technologies with DoD operational and tactical requirements. This effort will deliver rapid, innovative, and cost-effective capabilities to meet warfighter needs, and will include bringing national capabilities to bear cross all warfighting domains spanning intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, combat applications, battlespace awareness, command and control, multi-level security and mission programs. This next generation approach shall employ the latest advancements in geolocation and tagging, sensor and data fusion, unconventional / asymmetric warfare, situational awareness, cyberspace and spectrum warfare, large data analytics, data lake, jamming technologies, sensor technologies, geo-registration to deliver a cutting-edge approach.
The Project Lead will lead a team of engineers on discreet AF TENCAP projects (called TDLs), and be responsible for the project from inception to transition. The Project Lead will work directly with the project lead engineer, and conduct project management duties, including scheduling, workforce utilization, and risk management to deliver advanced prototypes to AF TENCAP. Each project has an expected duration of 6-18 months, and will vary in size, scope, and complexity. For large projects, a project lead will be dedicated full time to an individual project; for smaller efforts, the project lead will manage up to five projects concurrently. Project teams will be formed as required by the project topic and work, and will include a range of engineering specialties, in addition to technical writers, cybersecurity professionals, trainers, and software developers.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing USAF or intelligence projects utilizing matrixed staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write monthly project update reports, complete EACs and ETCs, update the IMS and risk tracker as necessary
- Effectively lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain awareness and involvement across the portfolio, provide inputs and recommendations for realizing efficiencies, incorporation of innovations, and/or leveraging emerging capabilities for TENCAP objectives.
- Work closely with both the lead system engineer and the operational warfare liaison to ensure prototype solutions align with the mission partner needs.
- Maintain measurements of progress across the TENCAP program as it relates to the project.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree and 15 years or more experience.
- Active TS clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
- Project or program management experience leading matrixed teams.
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A collaborative leadership style that engages others, earns trust, and fosters highly efficient teams
- Project management experience with the USAF or intelligence community
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
