SAIC has an opening for a Project Manager to support the USSOCOM SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) contract. The USSOCOM mission is to provide fully capable Special Operations Forces (SOF) to defend the United States and its interests and synchronize planning for global operations against terrorist networks. You will support the USSOCOM mission as we partner with SOF military and civilian members to provide world-class IT services and support that connect over 70,000 users around the world in the areas of software development / maintenance, network services, security, end-user computing, and test and evaluation. This position is based on-site at Fort Bragg, NC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans, leads, and manages personnel responsible for the organization's portfolio of projects and maintains efficiency of important project management aspects such as planning, scheduling, and budget and risk assessment.

  • Develops and executes project objectives by collaborating with the customer on needs and goals, project proposals, project plans, and intermediate execution status.

  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractors.

  • Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards, completing technical studies, and preparing cost estimates.

  • Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.

  • Determines and maintains project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, sequencing project elements, and maintaining project schedule.

  • Controls project plans by reviewing designs, specifications, schedule changes, and recommending actions.

  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and recommending actions.

  • Responsible for technical/operational leadership of a project/mission within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and customer.

  • Defines, generates, and reviews project requirements documentation; performs technical studies to refine project requirements.

  • Monitors projects to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of related experience; OR AA with 8+ years of related experience; OR HS with 10+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.

  • Must have previous experience managing IT projects.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is strongly desired.

  • CCNA is strongly desired.

     

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI if hired.
