SAIC is seeking one Aircraft Mechanic Worker for an SCA contingent contract located in Virginia Beach, VA.

• Responsibilities for this personnel may be but are not limited to:
• Reclaim F/A-18 aircraft components in support of the SARDIP (Stricken Aircraft Reclamation and Disposal Program), and movement of these items to applicable Naval Supply activities.
• Assist in disassembly, demilitarization, transportation and disposal of remaining aircraft structures.
• Assist in demilitarization and Safe to Display requirements of aircraft designated for public static display.
• Assist in the packaging of reclaimed aircraft components.
• Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek at customer location
• Must be willing to travel to other DoD air stations to perform work (35 percent).

Qualifications

Required Education:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Required Clearance: 

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills: 

• General knowledge and experience with common mechanic's hand tools.
• Ability to lift 50 LBS.
• Experience preferred in working on F/A-18 platform.
• The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and is required to have current National Agency Check or submit and pass FBI Fingerprint/Background checks to gain required base access identification cards. 
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
