SAIC is seeking a PC Technician to provide second-tier support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications, and hardware in Sacramento, CA on the Revolutionary Information Technology Services (RITS) program with the Army Corps of Engineers. Handle problems that the first-tier help desk support is unable to resolve. Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties. Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems, as well as, maintain currency and high level of technical skill in field of expertise.

The Army Corps of Engineers – Revolutionary Information Technology Services (RITS) program, provides a modern and secure enterprise-wide IT support services to approximately 37,000 USACE customers located throughout the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS).

NOTE: Normal work hours are Monday through Friday; 8 hour shift between 6AM and 6PM local time. After hours support may be required on an infrequent basis.  

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Perform technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers either by telephone, or on-site for PC desktop hardware and software packages
  • Install and test personal computers, printers, and other peripherals, configure operating system, load shrink-wrap programs and other application software programs
  • Troubleshoot printer, computer, and peripheral incidents, performs hardware and software diagnostics, coordinates needed repairs, and resolve computer system problems
  • Coordination between users and components of a local area network, and participates in the evaluation of system configuration and software

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Associate's degree and five (5) years of relevant experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Required Skills:

  • Experience supporting Windows 10, and MS Office 2013
  • Experience using Remedy or a similar ticketing system
  • Must be willing to travel when necessary
  • Must have a valid drivers license

Required Certifications:

  • Must have a current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level I (examples: A+ CE OR Network+ CE OR SSCP OR CCNA-Security certifications etc.)

Required Clearance: 

  • An Interim Secret Clearance required prior to employment; a Secret Security Clearance is required to maintain employment.

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
