The Army Business Group has an opening for a Software Configuration Management Specialist to support the S3I located on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
The Software Configuration Management Specialist will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Create and maintain Configuration Management (CM) baselines for software applications, complex electronics firmware, and associated documentation and test artifacts
- Help develop, implement, and maintain CM plans, policies, and procedures
- Perform change control and audits of configured items
- Analyze audit findings and report CM status for multiple projects
- Proactively engage in tasks and demonstrate initiative
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Maintain a high level of organization
- Be an effective team player
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree and five (5) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
Required Clearance:
Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required
Required Skills:
Configuration management experience throughout the full software lifecycle from analysis to verification.
Proficient with the use of standard Microsoft Office PC applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Desired Skills or Required Certifications:
Experience with Serena Dimensions CM Tool or equivalent CM Tool
Experience with DoS and/or CST specific CM processes/environment
Experience with Agile software development methodologies or a CMMI certification
