SAIC is seeking an engineer with experience in computer programming and software development to join the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Team.
SE&I provides engineering, integration, technical analysis, and subject matter expertise (SME) support to the US Space Force. As a software developer on the PNT SE&I Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) team you will develop tools which aide in system development, test/evaluation, and system performance analysis. The PNT SE&I team works in a high-paced environment with Govt personnel and system developers to ensure the Global Positioning System (GPS) remains the gold standard for positioning, navigation, and timing.
Major duties of this position include:

Support SE&I team in creating software tools to enable the GPS Systems Engineering team to verify requirements and support GPS enterprise testing

Participate in agile software development efforts through a scrum or DevSecOps framework

Understand and analyze large data sets to compile meaningful results

Support the GPS Enterprise by helping implement GPS capabilities, requirements, architectures, concepts, designs and technologies in software. The software implementation will help validate, test, and model the current and future GPS architectures

Update and maintain software tools to validate National Security Agency (NSA) key material

Create Test Data Material (TDM) to perform PNT test and evaluation

Create and maintain software that aides in complex mission planning for the GPS system
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science or Science
Active Secret clearance
9+ years of overall experience
Demonstrated experience with C languages or Python
Demonstrated experience with agile software development or DevSecOps
Demonstrated experience working with or for the government on a government Space systems program
Strong interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration
Active Top Secret Clearance
GPS experience is highly desired
Experience with MS Visual Studio C++, C#, Python
Experience and familiarity working with DoD acquisition organizations
Experience working as a scrum master
Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
