SAIC is seeking to internally promote a Software Team Lead in support of Marine Corps Intelligence Systems (SIS) located in Charleston, South Carolina. The Software Team Lead will work closely with Program Manager and other SIS Teams Leads supporting this contract. The Software Lead will ensure that the software engineering processes, and project management practices align with the strategic objectives of the organization while meeting the needs of increasingly complex systems requirements and technologies. This role will involve collaboration across multiple disciplines to foster innovation and efficiency in delivering software solutions that support mission-critical goals.

The Candidate will be responsible but not limited to the following:

  • Lead team of software developers/engineers to accomplish technical challenges.
  • Provide mentorship, task delegation, and performance guidance to junior team members.
  • Direct and coordinate activities to ensure products and systems conform to customer specifications.
  • Interface with multiple stakeholders to manage and align objectives and promote collaboration.
  • Develop project plans, milestones, budgets, schedules, and conducting program reviews related to contract task orders.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree and fourteen (14) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree. 

Required Clearance: 

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills: 

  • Experience in conducting risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks to contract task performance.
  • Strong abilities in monitoring technical performance, cost, and schedule based on program requirements.
  • Proficient in analyzing and managing cost and schedule performance.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures; strong written and oral communication skills are essential for this management role.
  • Experience in one or more of the following engineering disciplines is required: Research and Development, Software Engineering, Equipment and Material Support, System or Software Integration, Test and Evaluation, Logistics Support, Program Office Liaison Support, Technical Documentation Development, Cybersecurity.
  • Possess intermediate or above proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Possess intermediate or above proficiency with Web conferencing products (Microsoft Teams, Zoom Gov, etc.).
