SAIC is seeking qualified candidates to support Space Force's Resilient Missile Warning/ Missile Tracking (Resilient MWT) Ground Management Integration (GMI) program. Qualified candidates will help develop and deliver space operations for the integrated resilient ground segment of a USSF mission. Help integrate, enhance, and sustain key mission systems, including the MEO System Operations Center (MSOC) and its 24/7/365 operations, while supporting launches, early orbit operations, and mission sustainment under a Government-owned, Contractor-operated (GOCO) model.
The ideal candidate has space operations floor experience, has developed work procedures, checklists and training materials and holds mission knowledge.
Role Responsibilities:
The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible for the coordination and enforcement of security processes and practices with the operational system and crew in accordance with the security plan. The ISSO is also responsible for ensuring the continuous monitoring of system logs and devices within the system and facility to the necessary auditing. This includes coordinating the maintenance activities to keep the system and facility up to date with required specifications. The ISSO serves as the on-site security liaison to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) at Space Systems Command (SSC).
Support the Chief Operations Engineer (COE)
Lead development of MSOC procedures, technical manuals, & operator training material
Collaborate with associate contractors who develop their own certified contractor operators executing space segment operations on the shared SOC floor.
Communicate clearly and effectively with program management to identify and manage risks, appropriately elevating issues and concerns in a timely manner.
Participate with broader SEIT processes and systems developers to ensure continuous system improvements are deployed into operations when mature and non-degrading to existing operational mission capabilities.
Qualifications
Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance
Experience with the Department of Defense and/or the Intelligence Community satellite/payload and ground system architectures.
Bachelors and 5 years of relevant experience; OR Masters and 2 years of relevant experience.
Superb technical skills and experience related to ground systems hardware and software.
Ability to lead, effective interpersonal skills, and strong briefing and writing skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment with little supervision.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM field
Military experience
Deep knowledge of satellite tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination architectures
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
