SAIC has an opening for a Senior Technical Trainer to will support of the Common Control System (CCS) a software intensive program that will provide simultaneous sortie planning, control, monitoring, and post-mission analysis of multiple unmanned systems (UxS) of either similar or dissimilar types from common software. This will be Hybrid Remote position and will require on site work at the NIWC Pacific, Sea Side location, San Diego, CA at least one day a week.
Sr. Technical Trainer will conduct and supervise training and development programs for project personnel and external customers.
- Responsible for creating training methods to include on-the-job training, operating schools that lab conditions for trainees, apprenticeship training, classroom training, and electronic learning, multimedia programs, distance learning, satellite training, other computer-aided instructional technologies, videos, simulators, conferences, and workshops.
- Conduct and supervise training and development programs for project personnel and external customers.
- Planning and program development is an important part of the training specialist's job. In order to identify and assess training needs, trainers research all problems. The goal of training is to end users and maintainers develop new skills and enhance productivity while improving the quality of work.
- Set up teaching materials and lesson plans prior to the class. They also involve the class and issue completion certificates at the end of the class.
- Plan, organize, and direct a wide range of training activities.
- Respond to stakeholder and operator service requests.
Qualifications
Education & experience:
- Bachelor's level degree in Education, Psychology or related Training Systems discipline and six (6) years or more of related experience.
- 3 years professional experience in curriculum development.
Required skills:
- One (1) year experience supporting IT helpdesk functions.
- One (1) year experience supporting C2 or unmanned systems helpdesk functions.
- One (1) year experience teaching custom curriculum.
- Three (3) years developing training materials in support of C2 or unmanned systems.
Desired skills:
- Three (3) years experience supporting and/or leading US Navy helpdesk functions.
- Two (2) year experience supporting C2 or unmanned systems helpdesk functions.
- Three (3) yeas experience teaching custom curriculum.
- Five (5) years developing training materials in support of C2 or unmanned systems.
Required clearance:
- Must have an active Secret clearance.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
