SAIC is currently seeking a Training and Development Specialist to support the Aviation Combined Arms Tactical Trainer (AVCATT) in Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
Job Responsibilities:
- The AVCATT/NCM3 Training and Development Specialist II has in-depth knowledge of combined arms air-ground training for rotary-wing aircraft including AH-64, UH-60, CH-47, UH-72 and OH-58 and will be familiar with U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE) warfighting doctrine, Aviation CATS standards, Components of Training Proficiency, and applicable TTP
- The Training and Development Spec II shall maintain up-to-date knowledge based on current Army doctrine and standards related to this paragraph
- The Training and Development Specialist will provide support to create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs to be used for employees, the government and its customers
- Ensure all training events are supported in a manner that no loss of training is caused by the maintenance team. T&D Spec shall be capable of providing TADSS operational and “over-the-shoulder” assistance and training to users and operators, as requested, TDL specific devices IAW Government provided NET products. Support Soldiers in planning the training exercise as needed, coordinating and aligning training equipment and device modules to prepare for the exercise or training. Initializing and troubleshooting the local training network with the modules to ensure connectivity and optimal operation. In Execution, provide Over the Shoulder training directly to Soldiers as needed and any functions to support training
- Provide training exercise support, including assisting exercise planning and scenario development (e.g., developing new, modifying existing, and testing exercise scenarios), including Special Operations Forces (SOF); providing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs); and replicating higher headquarters. To facilitate training exercise support, the contractor shall provide SAF support operations
- Instruction shall be IAW DoD Performance Specification MIL-PRF-29612B, Training Data Product Specifications, dated 31 August 2001. The Government will provide the contractor existing course curricula and Program of Instruction (POI) data. Training material data updates and changes shall be made available in the ISTS. Additionally, the contractor shall provide instructor personnel that have the requisite skills, capabilities, training, education, and experience to efficiently provide instruction to maintain, and troubleshoot the TADSS
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor of Science degree and two (2) years or more of experience or equivalent Military Education; Additional six (6) years' experience accepted in lieu of degree
Required Clearance:
- Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in planning and conducting complex training programs
- Strong technical knowledge of rotary-wing aircraft and related TADSS
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Capability to work collaboratively with soldiers and other personnel to ensure successful training outcomes
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving training requirements and scenarios
