SAIC is seeking a motivated Training Manager candidate to support the Secret and Below Releasable Environment (SABRE) program in the Air Force Cloud One Common Computing Environment (CCE) under the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center Office for Network Integration (AFLCMC/HNI). SABRE is a key component of the DoD Operational Mission Partner Environment (MPE) and the DoD strategy on how to send, secure and share critical data to United States and its global mission partners as quickly possible, reduce the cost of maintaining multiple bilateral and multilateral networks, and secure the mission partner ally enterprise networks and information domains against constantly evolving near peer adversaries. SABRE also serves as a pathfinder in developing Zero-Trust (ZT) policy at the DoD and Service-levels on the combatant use of Information Domains as a contested warfighting environment and the future of data-centric operations. The candidate for this position may work anywhere in the United States.

This is a hybrid position that requires the candidate to have access to a Department of Defense location with regular SIPR network connectivity.  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plans, develops, and implements technical product training programs for customers, and/or employees, field support personnel and new hire training.
  • Develop content that meets industry standards and is tailored to technical and non-technical audiences, including end-users, engineers, and management. Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized and new product modules.
  • Obtains information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software and product requirements to prepare training programs; prepares lesson plans and training materials; designs product demonstrations; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.
  • Conducts training sessions, product demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. May administer tests. Continuously revises lesson plans to ensure course material reflect product features, meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. May include military trainers.
  • Prepare, develop, plan, and organize new hire training based on existing applications and new capability or location rollouts
  • Ensure completion of all DoD 8570 training requirements, to include management of baseline certification renewals
  • Responsible for training schedule
  • Develop Training Management Plan based in ISO 20K standards
  • Design remote learning capabilities to ensure training is complete, accurate and remote employees are engaged.
  • Develop CBT training modules to be used internally and externally
  • Conduct periodic reviews and updates of existing documentation to ensure it remains accurate and relevant.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information, verify details, and ensure the accuracy of training content.

Qualifications

Required Clearance:

  • US citizenship is required with a Secret clearance.

Required Education and Experience:

  • BS with five (5) or more years of related experience. MS with three (3) or more years of related experience. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in technical writing (experience preferably in cybersecurity or IT-related fields) is required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency with technical writing tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, or similar.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks.
  • Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. 
  • Represents organization in providing solutions to technical issues associated with specific projects.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience as a trainer coach, or training facilitator.
  • Project management skills.
  • Knowledge of learning and development best practices.
  • CPTM Certification.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
