Sales Analyst

The Sales Analyst role requires a flexible and adaptable approach to data management. While the following responsibilities are core to the position, the successful candidate will be comfortable taking on additional tasks as needed. Candidates should be prepared to complete an Excel data assessment during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, organize, and analyze sales data across various beauty product lines (e.g., skincare, hair colour, haircare, tools, etc) and distribution channels (e.g., stores, e-commerce, field).
- Support the development, automation, and maintenance of regular sales reports and dashboards to track KPIs, sales targets, sell-through rates, and promotional performance.
- Assist in preparing data-driven insights for the sales and marketing teams to support campaign planning, product launches, and regional sales strategies.
- Contribute to sales forecasting by compiling historical data and assisting with volume projections for new and existing products.
- Monitor sales trends, consumer behaviour, and market activity in the beauty sector to help identify performance opportunities or risks.
- Ensure reporting accuracy and consistency, troubleshoot data discrepancies, and collaborate with internal teams to refine data collection and reporting processes.
- Support continuous improvement of reporting tools using Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms to enhance efficiency and insights delivery.
- Data Transformation: Ensure sales data quality by cleansing, standardizing, deduplicating, and handling missing values. Meticulously document all data cleaning processes.
- Attend and contribute to cross-functional meetings with commercial, marketing, and finance teams to share reports and gather feedback.
- Support the sales team with administrative tasks such as preparing sales materials, preparing newsletter communications, sales documentation and managing the sales team's inquiries.
- Coordinate and maintain internal records for customer accounts, contracts, and promotional agreements.
- Liaise with customer service, logistics, and supply chain teams to support the smooth execution of sales operations.
- Help maintain loyalty program rebates or sales databases with past sales history by client, and opportunity tracking.
- Organize and support internal sales meetings by preparing agendas, distributing materials, and capturing key action points.
Who You Are.
- Bachelor's degree in Administration or related field
- Advanced Excel skills
- Sage 500 experience a definite asset
- Power BI experience required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fast-paced multi-tasking efficiency and time management skills are a must.
