Days/Hours: Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

 

Savage Services Accounts Receivable is currently looking for individuals with a great personality to join the team. We need someone who has excellent business communications skills (primarily phone and email). This team member will be communicating account details and researching discrepancies with a customer with the aim of reaching a resolution. People who excel at this position can solve problems and identify issues/reasons for nonpayment. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Proactively contact customers daily via phone and email.
  • Handle inbound phone calls.
  • Work from a task queue each day.
  • Format and send account statement files to the customer.
  • Modify/update PDFs to send to the customer.
  • Strive to gather payment dates and information from customers.
  • Submit weekly customer updates to AR & Revenue Manager.
  • Process credit cards for payment of invoices or balance due.
  • Perform root cause analysis when payments are not received (i.e. invoice not received, invoice not approved, lack of funds, disagreement, check sent to the wrong address, etc.).
  • Investigate and address any discrepancies or issues on a customer account, communicate effectively the findings, and work towards a mutually agreeable solution.
  • Login to payment portals to check invoices and the status of payments.
  • Organize emails and prioritize responses.
  • Follow up with customers and internal departments to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and positive customer experience.
  • Perform special projects as requested by management.
  • Meet daily and monthly performance standards.

Requirements to Be Successful in This Position:

  • Business-to-business collections experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), and Adobe PDF, or equivalent.
  • Problem-solving & root-cause analysis skills.
  • Business professional communication skills – attention to wording and detail is important.  
  • This position is primarily in an office setting. Currently, the work setting will be split each week between in-office and remote on a rotating schedule.

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years in Accounts Receivable and Customer Service experience
  • Some college preferred – Business, accounting, management, finance, MIS
