The Transactional Accounting Team's Financial Systems Analyst role plays an integral part in providing system support. This role will assist in maintaining, monitoring, and improving the Company's financial systems. It will also provide functional/technical support for Oracle ERP, Coupa, Medius, and other downstream systems.

 

The role requires the ability to alternate between resolving detailed issues, performing audit and compliance analyses, maintaining administrative rights, ad hoc project involvement, and providing guidance and assistance to other team members to troubleshoot technical problems. A focus on details and the ability to resolve issues quickly and accurately is essential.  Strong people skills are a must as this position will have visibility and interactions throughout the company including business process, finance, operations, and information solutions group. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide functional administrative support for related systems.
  • Work directly with the Financial Systems Manager to interact with users within finance, accounting, and operational organizations.
  • Assist in performing audit and compliance checks/analyses/investigations of system configurations.
  • Assist with regularly scheduled releases and upgrades of systems and maintain testing plans for each system.
  • Perform ongoing system setup and maintenance (chart of accounts, ledger structures, security, reporting, forms, workflows, etc.)
  • Facilitate alignment of financial systems and reporting to support business objectives, goals, metrics and strategies.
  • Identify, develop, and deploy tools to support process improvement and business automation.
  • Participate and represent financial systems in initiatives and projects.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the interaction and integration of multiple systems (interfaces, data exports, etc.).
  • Support and participate in cyclical financial closing procedures (i.e. month, quarter, year-end and other various deadlines)

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • 5+ years of qualified-related finance experience.
  • System management experience
  • Working accounting knowledge including some of the following:
    • Accounting ledger structures
    • Balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, etc.
    • Chart of accounts
  • Working knowledge of financial ERP systems including some of the following:
    • Cross-validation theories
    • Ledger/legal entity structure
    • Security
    • ERP integrations (internal/external)
  • Working understanding of data analytics and reporting including:
    • Creation and maintenance of reports and queries
    • Advanced SQL
    • KPI development
  • Working knowledge of VBA, Java, and other programming languages preferred.
  • The following personal traits are preferred:
    • Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial processes and systems.
    • Proficient use of MS Office applications including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage priorities.
    • Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with a sense of urgency.
    • Self-starter with good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
    • Able and willing to ‘think out of the box'
    • Strong interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills and a team player.
    • Able to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
