The HR Systems Analyst will lead and participate in the efforts of implementing, maintaining, and optimizing our global HR information systems and processes, with an emphasis in Security and Reporting for Workday and UKG. This position will be responsible for spearheading the global implementation and enhancement of HR systems (Workday HCM, UKG Workforce Pro WFM (Dimensions), etc.) and providing expert support, configuration, and system enhancements. This also includes integration development, testing, and support, in collaboration with Global IT. This position works closely with business partners, HR, and Global IT to ensure the effective global utilization of HR technology to streamline HR processes and support data-driven decision making. This position will also be responsible for HR Analyst responsibilities, including human resource process designs, data management, system configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting, with a focus on ensuring data accuracy and applying HR best practices to ensure compliance with global HR regulations.

This position is located at our Home Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Relocation benefits are offered, in addition to a $10,000 relocation bonus, if relocating more than 50 miles for the position.

What you'll do

Reporting

  • Develop and update global Workday reports including matrix and composite reports with calculated fields, utilizing Workday Report Writer and Report Designer.
  • Understand Schreiber's Workday data to translate business requirements into user-friendly reports and dashboards.
  • Analyze, design, and build new custom reports and audits using Workday reporting functionality (ex: Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Dashboards) in addition to external BI tools (Power BI). Create and modify reports based on requirements and understand downstream potential impact of changes.
  • Build reports from other data sources/systems (ex: UKG, Power BI)

Security

  • Design and architecture of the HCM and Security modules in the Workday system. This includes business process configuration and optimization, such as condition rules, validation rules, routing restrictions, managing core HCM setup configuration such as organizations, tenant settings, custom objects, and localization settings, security group configuration including role-based, user-based, segment, and intersection security groups.
  • Work closely with the business to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring that our security configurations meet the complex needs of our organization

Advanced Workday and UKG Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for escalated Workday and UKG support issues, delivering advanced troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Proactively monitor system performance, anticipate issues, and engage with partners/external vendors to address technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with business to ensure the highest level of data accuracy, integrity, and quality.

Strategic System Configuration and Upgrades

  • Lead the advanced configuration of Workday and UKG functionality to accommodate complex, dynamic business requirements, such as new modules, global process enhancements, etc.
  • Execute strategic plans for system upgrades, minimizing disruptions to business operations and maximizing system performance.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of new features and enhancements, providing expert recommendations.

Data Management and Security

  • Responsible for advanced data integrations and/or migration efforts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Maintain robust data security measures, access controls, and compliance standards.
  • Serve as a liaison with contracted vendors and Global IT partners to resolve file interface issues or technical problems.
  • Utilize knowledge of HR concepts, practices and procedures, as well as business acumen, to establish sound processes and improve HR touchpoints within the business. Minimize legal and regulatory risk. Identify opportunities to streamline and modernize HR related processes. Demonstrate global and cultural awareness while executing daily responsibilities.
  • Provide HR support and consultation to other business areas that use HR data in their work. Present HR related information in a meaningful format.

Systems

  • Optimize HR processes and investments in technology, while deploying change management best practices. Responsible for effective written and verbal communication, process documentation and training users in Workday and UKG. Is viewed as a knowledge expert by system users. Assist global users with process questions, as well as provide on-going training and “tips” to allow users to be more effective.
  • Create accurate reports and metrics in a timely manner to provide insight and facilitate decision-making. Respond to ad hoc HR data requests. Establish processes to meet required government or third-party reporting or to satisfy external HR related audits.

Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business, related field, or applicable experience
  • 5-7 years of HRIS Analyst, consultant or HR systems experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Workday HCM reporting tools and advanced reporting features (Composite and Matrix reporting)
  • 2+ years of experience in Workday security configurations (reporting, business processes, security groups)
  • Proven knowledge of reporting and analytics leveraging Workday, UKG, and/or Power BI
  • Advanced proficiency in implementation, configuration, and support of Workday HCM, UKG Workforce Central, and/or UKG Pro WFM (Dimensions)
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing global HR system implementation projects
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS best practices, employment law (NLRA, FMLA, ADA, etc.) and data privacy regulations (GDPR)
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex challenges
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with different partners across the globe, with the ability to understand and interpret customer requirements and translate into process design and system configuration.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, managing multiple projects, and delivering exceptional results.
  • HR certifications preferred (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of IT project management methodologies and HR technology trends
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and/or Time and Attendance systems configuration is desired
  • Global HRIS systems troubleshooting/support
  • Basic understanding of global data privacy/GDPR
  • Ability to assist in the recommendation of new technology/functionality in support of human resources objectives
  • Ability to handle confidential information with high level of integrity and sensitivity
