The responsibility of the Business Development Manager is prospecting and closing new customer sales of business applications software and related services, as well as growing current business.  The individual will manage the sales cycle from lead generation, qualifying leads, creating an account strategy, and planning as well as develop sales proposals. Participate in the development and presentation of a value proposition.  Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale. Identify and develop strategic alignment with key stake holders.  Present voice of the customer feedback to the team. As an experienced and dynamic software solutions expert you will be confident in selling to all corporate levels and will apply your sharp business insight and understanding to present flexible solutions to clients. 

This position can be hired in a remote or hybrid capacity. If local/hybrid, you would have the option to work from our home office in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

What you'll do:

  • Develop a sales plan to land new customers and expand with current customers.  Create and present value propositions to customers and negotiate and close sales deals to meet yearly targets.
  • Create cross functional relationships with current and potential customers.  Listen to customer needs and bring in the right partners to build value for the customer 
  • Create and maintain cross functional relationships with internal departments to cultivate leads with current suppliers and customers.
  • Present voice of the customer to SDL and IT departments to share recommendations and provide input to our applications roadmaps.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field
  • 10+ years experience in Software solution sales, ideally within warehouse management or supply chain.
  • Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation
  • Experienced in Cloud Software License Sales, ideally warehouse management or supply chain
  • Experience in different sales techniques like face-to-face, social selling and others
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
  • Ability to take a leading sales role and execute successful sales strategies
  • Experience in hunting for new business
  • Proven track record communicating to leadership including motivating and influencing peers
  • Global sales experience a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.
