THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be the exclusive finance contact for the Litigation and Employee Benefits legal groups to ensure accurate reporting of financial performance data to department leadership, partners and other decision makers. This position is part of the accounting and financial services group reporting to the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Serve as the primary finance contact for the Litigation and Employee Benefits legal groups and associated support staff
• Provide monthly analysis of financial performance results at the department, office and total firm level of detail
• Assist in the preparation of revenue and cost analyses, projections, reports and presentations for legal department management
• Assist the practice development, marketing and proposals team with scenario based financial analysis on competitive bid proposals
• Support the strategic pricing team with tracking large client portfolio performance against budgets
• Investigate and resolve inquires related to financial matters from various groups including attorneys and support staff
• Assist with compiling financial information in response to periodic industry and government surveys in which the firm participates
• Collaborate with the office of inclusion and diversity to assist in responding to industry and client-specific diversity requests
• Ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as assigned

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.CFA credential a plus.
• Five to 10 years of relevant financial analysis experience, professional services or law firm environment preferred.
• SQL query experience within data warehouse reporting environment
• Applicable computer skills may include: Excel, PowerPoint, Aderant Expert, DataFusion Intellistat reporting suite, SSMS.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, xlookups, etc.) required
• Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
• Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrates close attention to detail
• Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and shifting priorities
• Ability to organize and prioritize work
• Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team
• Demonstrates a commitment to quality of finished product
• Ability to problem solve
