Description

The Senior Real Estate Strategy Analyst will provide analytical support and direction for Shake Shack's real estate and development decisions and growth plans. Reporting to the Director of Real Estate, the Senior Real Estate Strategy Analyst will play a critical role in the Development team, collaborating often with our internal stakeholders. They will be responsible for analyzing real estate transactions and capital investments through deal structure modeling, dataset managing and analysis, and continually improving how we measure and assess Shack performance. The ideal candidate is a creative, curious self-starter who can manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and is passionate about real estate and restaurant development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive pro forma modeling and financial assessment of real estate transactions and capital investments, including new site approvals, renewals, relocations, and renovations

  • Act as a trusted cross-functional partner on real estate and development matters to our Finance, Accounting and Business Intelligence teams and spearhead initiatives and new projects to enable the company's data-based decision-making capabilities and long-term strategy

  • Manage weekly tracking, reporting and reconciliation of New Shack Opening capital expenditures, regularly reporting to executive team and full development team and driving cost-reduction to support the Company's investment goals

  • Create reports and presentations for the Board of Directors, Development leadership, and Real Estate Committee

  • Gather, synthesize, and analyze Shack-level intelligence from a variety of internal and external sources, generating strategic insights to direct future pipeline growth and investment priorities

  • Develop, maintain, and refine tools used to analyze both existing real estate pipeline and new site opportunities

  • Additional real estate and development related duties as needed

Skills & Knowledge

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required

  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and aptitude for problem-solving

  • Self-starter with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage workload to hit deadlines

  • Excellent track record in translating data into executive-level presentations and packages

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong research and organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

Experience

  • At least 3-5 years' experience in real estate finance, FP&A, accounting, or other relevant analytical roles

  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, accounting, urban planning, or other relevant disciplines

  • Experience working in restaurant development and/or a high growth company preferred

Pay Range - $98,860.00 - $126,060.00
