Position Summary:

The Inside Sales Specialist will report to the Commercial Sales Department. The position is a hybrid role that plays a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.  This job requires making numerous outbound calls (and sending emails) to current and perspective dealers, generating interest, qualifying opportunities, and closing sales.  Strong collaboration with the outside sales team is pertinent to success.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Close sales and achieve monthly targets
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
  • Answer incoming dealer calls, e-mails, and/or faxes to resolve warranty claims, pricing issues, general inquiries and order entry
  • Utilizes Excel, SalesForce, and Oracle EBS, to enter and manage dealer orders/activity.
  • Communicates order and account statuses to account managers and dealers
  • Communicate daily with Finance & Sales Field Staff to resolve outstanding credit & AR issues and assist in order holds resolution(s)

Education/Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree or experience equivalent
  • Experience with sales, order entry, or customer service
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English
  • Ability to learn and adapt rapidly
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com or other CRM system a plus
  • Familiarity with Oracle a plus
  • An “A” type personality: passionate, attention to detail, and high energy
  • Creative problem solving skills, and the capability to get things done

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Primarily making outbound calls (remainder of time: accepting inbound calls, sending emails, and completing administrative responsibilities using a variety of software tools.
