We are seeking a talented, motivated, and service-minded individual to join the Production team as a Scheduler in our Austin, Minnesota location. Every day Smyth brings our customers' labels and packaging to life, creating a customer experience that is second to none, and enabling them to stand out over the competition. This is a full-time opportunity, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Key responsibilities for Production Scheduler include:
- Using estimates, time standards, delivery commitments, and other data to prepare production schedules by assigning time to plant equipment and labor-hour requirements to operations necessary to complete the job
- Plan the schedule of production departments using job planning and scheduling systems
- Manage assets, critical spare parts inventory, purchasing, and work orders through MVP software
- Work closely with teams/departments to continue to improve the level of service and quality provided to the customer
- Participate in continuous improvement teams focusing on Lean methodologies; help continue sustainability through following standard work and completing assigned paperwork
The ideal candidate for Production Scheduler must demonstrate:
- Effective time management and ability to prioritize multiple long- and short-term projects meeting all related deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and high degree of attention to detail
- Thorough knowledge of all Scheduling/Utilization procedures
- Independent judgment, proactive thinking, and strong analytical capabilities
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to all levels of people inside and outside the organization
- Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, supervisory, leadership, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a diverse group/variety of people and personalities
Education, Experience and Credentials
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Required: 2+ Year's related experience; experience in similar scheduling role preferred
- Preferred: Experience in the flexo printing industry
- Preferred: Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing and ISO/BRC quality systems
