Description

Smyth is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Warehouse/Shipping team in support of facility operations.  This role is instrumental in ensuring smooth warehouse operations, managing shipment documentation, and communicating with carriers and internal teams.


Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage finished goods including coordinating the flow of incoming and outgoing products in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure finished goods are stored appropriately and organized for easy location and retrieval
  • Move/organize materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas
  • Mark materials with identifying information to help ensure accurate inventory tracking
  • Coordinate and process shipments, manage shipping documentation, communicate with carriers and internal teams, and ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Ensure all products received are properly identified and recorded as having been received
  • Pull finished good releases, ensuring accuracy to orders, as well as pack and label finished goods shipments
  • Conduct monthly cycle counts
  • Participate in cross-training with an open and positive attitude

The ideal candidate must demonstrate:

  • Strong computer skills including the ability to learn new computer systems (i.e. UPS software)
  • Ability to manage time effectively on multiple long- and short-term projects simultaneously, meeting all related deadlines
  • Ability to understand and help further enhance current business systems, processes, and workflows
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a diverse group/variety of people and personalities
  • High levels of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organization

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Required: High School degree or equivalent
  • Required: Two or more years in a similar role, preferably in the printing industry
  • Required: Warehouse equipment operation, such as a fork lift and electric pallet jack.  If not, must be willing to become certified
  • Required: Perform heavy work, lifting up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Preferred: Experience with UPS and/or FedEx software
