The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention. The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program management. SSAG integrates deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis. SPA has a need for a mid-level Program Analyst. Washington D.C. Pay Transparency: $115,000 - $135,000/year. Responsibilities The Analyst will support the development and execution of various efforts within the SSP Deterrence Technology Branch. The candidate will be responsible for: Serving as a liaison between our SPA headquarters office and our on-site client office for R&D. Conducting programmatic analysis and strategic planning, across the Strategic Weapon System and Nuclear Weapons Surety portfolios, with a focus in research and development. Facilitating client engagements, developing and maintaining planning tools, preparing reports and presentations, and engaging with senior leadership within client organizations. Conduct independent research using both publicly available and classified authoritative sources Coordinating with relevant stakeholders to gather and disseminate information and ensure deliverables are completed effectively and on schedule Serving in an action officer role, to include gathering information, facilitating client engagements, developing and maintaining planning tools, preparing reports, presentations, drafting memos and and engaging with senior leadership within client organizations. The Analyst will be required to work at the Navy Yard, Washington, D.C. approximately 4 days per week. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Current DoD Top Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance while employed with SPA. 3+ years of experience in DoD acquisitions or 5+ years of operational military experience. Capable of working independently as well as with a team and breaking down complex issues into simplified problem statements and laying out objective approaches to identify and compare the merits of competing solutions. Proven ability to take initiative to complete tasks with little instruction or oversight. Strong written and verbal communication skills and full proficiency with MS Office applications. Desired Qualifications: Experience with Submarines, the Trident II (D5) Strategic Weapons System, managing Research & Development (R&D) programs, or Nuclear Policy and Requirements development. Current DoD TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility. Experience with Agile Methodology
