SPA's Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) comprises more than 100 staff that provide program and project management, systems and digital engineering, software, test & evaluation, product support, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT support to more than 100 Above Water Sensor, Undersea, and Combat System programs and projects in the Navy's Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) and customers in Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Office of Naval Research (ONR), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the Navy's Team Submarine Office. #FC Responsibilities The candidate will support the Strategic Communications team within the Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems, Aegis Combat Systems Directorate (PEO IWS 1.0). Specific responsibilities will include: Provision of unique insight on effective Congressional engagement, especially recommendations for specific legislative language and priorities to advance PEO IWS strategic initiatives, identification of nuanced impediments to messaging and engagement in Congress, DoD, and industry, and identification of strategic engagement and stakeholder analysis opportunities. Consultation on technical assessement and resource analysis development support for critical PEO IWS 1.0 programs, objectives, and priorities and effective alignment to House Appropriations Committee (HAC), House Armed Services Committee (HASC), and Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) policy and programmatic guidance as they relate to appropriations, funding realignment, and PEO IWS 1.0 systems procurement. Identification of overlooked funding sources and authorities and creation of briefs and engagement plans to provide PEO IWS 1.0 with analysis and execution of advantageous stakeholder introductions and relationship development to better inform budget requests and proposals, provide insight on Congressional sentiment of PEO IWS 1.0 program priorities, and avoid budgeting risks and pitfalls.
