Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience providing engineering support in DoD environment including demonstrated experience with Systems Engineering and Foreign Military Sales
  • Master's degree in STEM, or equivalent Chief Engineer experience
  • Demonstrated experience with Foreign Military Sales
  • DoD Secret clearance, and the ability to maintain this throughout employment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience leading SE working groups and independently managing stakeholders
  • Experience with Radar Design and Systems Engineering / or familiarity with the DoD Acquisition process or experience
  • Working in a program office environment with documentation, protocols, formats and deadline


Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the AN/SPY-6 Family of Radars within PEO IWS 2.0 Above Water Sensors Directorate. The candidate will provide systems engineering and hardware analysis to the SPY-6 Principal Assistant Program Manager in support of Foreign Military Sales case studies. A hybrid work environment is acceptable; however, you must have the ability to work from PEO IWS 2.0 Program Office and various DC area organizations 2-3 times per week and travel up to 10% of the time (1-2 times per month).

 

Specific responsibilities include:  1) Develop tracking reports for elements and milestones, 2) Implementing SE management practices that include programmatic financial planning, analysis of hardware requirements. 3) Lead various working groups (System Safety, Training, Hardware, software, etc), 4) Assess Program Protection Plans for Critical Program Information in relation to Foreign Sales cases, 5) Lead feasibility studies and develop technical requirements for instillation on allied vessels, and 5) Work with various stakeholders and field activities to develop integration and test plans, training plans and sustainment needs.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  Washington, DC Pay Transparency Range:  $160,000 – $200,000.
