Description

Spartan Orthopedic Institute located between Jacksonville and St. Augustine, Florida offers a full-time opportunity for Physician Assistant to join well established Northeast Florida practice. This unique opportunity will allow you to work under the direction of a Fellowship trained, Board-Certified Surgeon with more than 28 years of practice. Our selective patient population permits for a more enjoyable team atmosphere. This role requires the candidate to demonstrate a higher professional standard of care, organizational ability with a strong attention to detail, and exemplary problem-solving skills.

Essential Responsibilities/Abilities

  • Determine appropriate decision making within scope of medical practitioner.
  • Position is responsible for providing medical care as delegated by physician.
  • Work collaboratively while communicating effectively with team members, ASC, Physician, Allied Professionals.
  • Retain, maintain, build on business relationships while, earing incentives, collectively aiding in growth of practice.

Skills

  • Accurately evaluate patient problems in person or via telehealth, provide appropriate patient education and recommendation.
  • Skill in gathering and analyzing physiological and patient outcome data.
  • Desire for continual learning and growth.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday with Occasional and Seasonal Game Coverage
  • No ER Call

Work setting: Private Practice

Sub-Specialty based, offering two pathway choices:

  • Combined surgical and office responsibilities.
  • Office based only.

Travel to/from Surgical Facility Required

Ability to Relocate: Relocation prior to start date (Required)

Education: Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant Program

Experience:

  • Orthopedic Experience (Preferred)
  • Surgical First Assist Experience (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Current and clear Physician Assistant Florida Licensure
  • Florida DEA licensure
