As part of our growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team.


What you will do:

The Staff Accountant position is responsible for general accounting duties, which include Payroll, A/R, A/P, Cost, General Ledger, and Credit/Invoicing.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality products and services for internal and external customers
  • Interface with corporate officers and front-line workers
  • Perform general accounting duties that include, but are not limited to data entry, general office duties, pricing updates, accounts receivable and accounts payable, including account reconciliations and vendor discrepancies
  • Perform month-end closing processes
  • Prepare, enter, and verify pricing on items billed to customers
  • Prepare 1099s and other tax paperwork
  • Perform high quality work and make quality decisions
  • Maintain better than average attendance and self-motivation
  • Assist Accounting Team in completing projects and Audit requests

Minimum Qualifications Preferred: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related financial field
  • A minimum of two years' experience in accounting/related field within a manufacturing/production environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office and other specific accounting software packages
  • Ability to effectively utilize personal/mainframe computer, specific accounting software packages, Microsoft Excel, telephone, copier, calculator, and fax machines
  • Ability to perform general accounting duties
  • Demonstrates attention for detail with good basic math
  • Ability to handle several tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate with vendors and customers in a professional, timely manner concerning invoices/bills/statements, etc.
