CNH Packaging- Monday - Thursday 5am-330pm
POSITION SUMMARY:
Packaging personnel is responsible to receive material from the warehouse, package, and prepare for shipment. Once material is prepared for shipment the Packager will assist in scheduling and shipment while maintaining accurate accounting of internal transactions, placement, and movement of material.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate Powered Industrial Trucks by securing material prior to handling or storing and by
- operating at reasonable speeds and control
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- preventing incidents or injury to self or others
- Verify order accuracy by performing Order Audits
- Prepare and package items for shipment in a safe manner as to prevent damage of material.
- May preform back-up duties to determine method for shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Meet shipping deadlines by working required hours.
- Maintain accurate accounting of all material shipped
- Verify and keep accurate records on shipments.
- Move materials within the warehouse and assist in other warehouse activities as directed
- Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from staging and processing areas
- Maintain clean work area
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed mostly in an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures. This employee will be required to demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear. Standing 90%, Walking/Sitting 10%. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly is required.
SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITY/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED is required
- Extreme attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
- Competent oral and written communication skills
- Competent addition and subtraction math skills
- Competent literacy skills in order to read tags without transposing part numbers
- Able to use scanners and other technology for inventory purposes
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Powered Industrial Truck Certified
