Job Title: Associate Software & Data Engineer - Financial Technology

Join SS&C's Data Platform team to build AI-driven and data-centric tools that power middle and back office operations for hedge funds and private markets. This is an entry-level role for aspiring engineers passionate about AI, software, and finance. You'll work alongside experienced developers to deliver scalable products that solve real problems in fund administration.

SS&C is seeking a motivated accounting intern who is ready to apply knowledge of financial terms and principles to an authentic real-world experience. The intern will assist with a wide range of duties across Private Equity, Real Assets, and Hedge Fund administration. Responsibilities will include analyzing data, preparing financial reports, and learning about varied accounting activities. This is an exciting opportunity for any student pursuing a career in finance. Intern in Private Equity, Real Assets and Hedge Funds will record transaction processes, prepare financial reporting, and assist team members meet client reporting deadlines.

What You Will Get To Do:
- Build and maintain Python-based APIs and data pipelines
- Support development of AI/ML features (e.g. NLP, RAG, LLMs)
- Work with relational databases (SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL)
- Contribute to internal tools for reporting and workflow automation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, DevOps, Data)
- Learn agile, CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
What You Will Bring:
- Strong interest in finance, AI, and software engineering
- Proficiency in Python and SQL (academic or project-based)
- Familiarity with web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask)
- Exposure to LLMs, LangChain, or data extraction is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
