What You Will Get To Do:

Lead Network Engineers are top-level technical contributors with advanced industry knowledge and company-related expertise in networking, communications, and related hardware and software.  They demonstrate a versatile skill set in a variety of technologies applicable to the company's networking and computing infrastructure. 

Responsibilities 

  • Automate, troubleshoot, consult with, and resolve highly complex network-related issues. 
  • Research and conduct technical studies/evaluations on vendor products as well as on current and emerging technologies; they recommend appropriate investments in the company's network infrastructure, related communication technologies, and equipment. 
  • Develop automation, methodologies, technical standards, security requirements, and best business practices to maintain and enhance the company's client-facing, Internet-facing, and internal network infrastructure and related communication technologies and equipment. 
  • Analyze highly complex network-related requirements and develop high-level and complimentary detailed technical design documentation that supports an overall business solution for the client. 
  • Lead and mentor others in peer technical design reviews by providing advanced technical advice in network planning, design, engineering, and architecture.

What You Will Bring:

  • 8-10 years engineering, installing and configuring WAN connectivity solutions (Ethernet over MPLS, Site-to-Site VPN, etc.) 
  • 8-10 years network engineering experience in large datacenter environments 
  • 8-10 years installing and configuring routing protocols such as BGP and EIGRP 
  • 8-10 years installing and configuring switching technologies (STP, VPC, FabricPath, etc) 
  • Ability to understand and work in a complex network with minimal supervision 
  • 8-10 years installing and configuring routers/switches, firewalls, VPN, DNS, load balancing and proxy technologies (Arista, Aruba, Juniper, Cisco, Cumulus, F5, NGINX, Palo Alto, Versa, VMWare, NSX, etc.) 
  • Experience with NFV (Network Function Virtualization) and ESXi 
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and customer support skills 
  • Ability to lead project and teams 
  • Software-Defined Network (SDN) and Software-Defined WAN (SDWAN) deployment knowledge 
  • 8-10 years' experience in Network hardware refresh processes 
  • SIP installation / Support Experience 
  • Ability to script in Python, Perl or other Network Automation products 
  • Strong documentation / Process development skills
