Job Description

This role will be based in either SS&C's Singapore or Hong Kong office.

The APAC TA Business Operations Support team is responsible for providing operations support services to the Transfer Agency Operations team servicing SS&C's valued clients. This covers a range of operational support functions including configuration of TA applications for new client onboardings, first level production support issues, operational BAU support and supporting client driven small scale projects.

The role focuses on a range of products with the portfolio consisting of:

  • A core Unit Registry platform
  • Surrounding products of the Unit Registry platform that forms the ecosystem of application connectivity  
  • An enterprise digital platform for advisors and investors for Transfer Agency activities

Role Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team across multiple geographical locations and develop a highly effective team
  • Versatile in managing support teams across different APAC locations to guide and train on TA processes
  • Establish good working relations with APAC TA Business Operations and work closely to support Operations BAU, new businesses and initiatives
  • Develop and motivate the team to drive performance efficiency and manage conflicts
  • Communicate effectively with internal technology support teams and external TA vendors to resolve system issues and maintain service level standards
  • Support new client onboarding by engaging all stakeholders to achieve end to end implementation
  • Ensure continuous improvement of processes and practices to mitigate risks 
  • Ability to apply critical and analytical thought process to resolve production issues efficiently
  • Perform business and project analysis to ensure accurate and thorough understanding of requirements and risks
  • Lead and participate actively in client specific and regional project implementations and change requests
  • Produce technical and business documentation for system enhancements and development
  • Willing and able to travel within the region as required

Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience in managing relationships with service providers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a confident communicator
  • Possess strong risk, control and governance frameworks and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain professionalism
  • Demonstrated drive and commitment towards attaining the highest possible standards
  • Ability to work effectively and consultatively within a diverse team environment
  • A keen interest in investigative work / service delivery, along with the ability to demonstrate a good use of initiative
  • Strong advocate for continuous improvement in quality and delivery of team
  • Competent with Projects and Business Analysis tools
  • Project Management skills
Qualifications & Prior knowledge:
  • Experience in a related role within the financial services industry.
  • Preferably 8-10 years of experience in Transfer Agency
  • Extensive knowledge of Transfer Agency services, systems and operations
