The SS&C Algorithmics team is seeking a talented and motivated individual to work as a Quality Assurance Software Engineer Intern on a variety of projects in our SS&C Algorithmics Development team. The successful applicant will be comfortable working in a range of environments and operating systems, utilizing a large and varied toolset to build/enhance quality assurance testing methodologies and tools. The QA Software Engineer Intern will need to establish and maintain connections with the development teams and business groups within the organization so good oral and written communication skills are essential.

What You Will Get To Do:

• Validate, test, and document test results for software releases.
• Provide status and metrics of current activities to the QA Lead for the purpose of tracking and reporting project information.
• Responsible to carry out testing of Graphical User Interfaces based on documented, methodical testcases.
• Provide feedback for generating new test scenarios when applicable.
• Assist in documenting results based on testing on multiple configurations and datasets for the backend.
• Possible work executing or assist in PlayWright test automation for GUI tested.
• Communicate with various development and support teams regarding status, issues and problem resolution.

What You Will Bring:

• Strong interest on Quality Assurance, Automation and Cloud DevOps principles
• Exceptional written and verbal communication.
• Ability to quickly learn new software.
• Strong Linux knowledge.
• Proficiency in CI / CD, Git and test frameworks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Tools/OS/Technologies: Windows/Unix/Linux. Java, C++, VBA, python, perl, shell scripts, FTP/SFTP.
• Working experience with some knowledge of financial asset classes, finance terminology, awareness of market data systems, technology interfaces and ideally through non-essential – exposure to risk systems, risk analytics and risk regulatory reporting.
• BS (MS preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering or Equivalent
