Job Title Software Engineer (Cloud Platform Exp.)
Locations: Remote
Get To Know The Team:
The Cloud Platform Experience team is responsible for developing and operating our SS&C cloud portal, which provides teams the ability to self-service infrastructure (compute, network, storage) for their application needs. We have a variety of front-end, back-end, and operational work as we strive to provide full-service ownership for our applications and services.
You will be partnering with software and operations engineers to support a modern private cloud that can handle the requirements for a global company.
This position is open to remote work from within the US.

What You Will Get To Do:
Work with a team of engineers supporting and enhancing our enterprise cloud platform.
Duties include software design, implementation, and testing.
Follow established team patterns and practices.
Work with various technologies that facilitate full-stack software development including Java Spring, Angular, CI/CD, Kubernetes, VMs, containers, databases, and more.
Enhance and maintain documentation, test, and demo code changes, review pull requests
What You Will Bring:
Engineering degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent work experience
5+ years of development experience (Go, Java, Python or other languages)
A solid foundation in object-oriented and cloud-native design
Experience in writing HTTP services in higher-level languages (e.g., Java/Spring, Go)
Experience with relational and document databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
Experience learning new open-source software, APIs, and frameworks
Exposure to automated testing, modern CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes
Familiar with bash, Git, JIRA, and agile methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of the Java Spring framework
Experience with custom Terraform providers
Experience working with and maintaining a community around open-source software
Desire to evangelize Developer Culture and lead change within the organization
Desire to mentor junior developers
