Overview

The Contract Administration Bureau within the Agency of Transportation (AOT) is a fast-paced setting dedicated to innovation and continuous improvement in serving our partners and customers. This position will work as a Contract Administrator in the Work Authorization Unit.

 

The Work Authorization Unit is responsible for:

  • Review of work authorization requests and creating work authorizations
  • Receiving and reviewing invoices associated to work authorizations
  • Ensuring all work authorizations and invoices are in compliance with the contract as well as State and Federal regulations
  • Managing the Consultant Evaluations process

 

This position requires an Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and the ability to manage competing priorities while exhibiting clear communication are the key to success in this position. This position is in a series which allows for great growth potential.

 

The position is eligible for telework opportunities based on the needs of the Agency.

Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree or certificate program in contract administration, public administration, accounting, business management, legal, or related field AND one (1) year of a combination of experience in the review and/or administration of government contracts, grants, agreements, maintenance or construction processes, public administration, law, or a related field.

OR

High School diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years or more of experience in the review and/or administration of government contracts, grants and agreements, maintenance or construction processes, public administration, or a related field.

OR

Two (2) years or more of experience as an AOT Contracts Specialist I or AOT Contract Administrator I with the State of Vermont.
