OverviewThis limited-service full time openings exist for Centralized Service Analysts. This Access to Justice Specialist will join the Access & Resource Center (ARC). The Limited Service position term will end 6/30/28.
The Centralized Service Analyst (CSA) – Access to Justice Specialist will join the Access & Resource Center (ARC) to provide services to people navigating the courts without an attorney. Help is provided primarily by phone and email, and includes information about court processes, help with court forms, and information about ways to get the help of an attorney.
DescriptionThe ideal candidate is committed to supporting the Judiciary's mission to provide equal access to justice. They should have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex processes clearly. They should be proactive, organized, and flexible. Experience in customer-facing roles with a focus on positive, empathetic, and professional attitude is strongly preferred. The position is a great opportunity for someone looking to get their start in the legal field, or to use previous legal experience to enhance access to justice. Preference given to experience working with people from diverse economic, cultural, and educational backgrounds who may be in crisis or under stress.
CompensationThis is a non-exempt Judicial Branch position equivalent to pay grade 21. Starting salary is $23.76 per hour. This position will be eligible for longevity increases in accordance with the State step pay plan and annual cost of living increases as enacted by the Vermont State Legislature. Occasional travel to other courts within the State of Vermont may be required and a private means of transportation is necessary. Travel will be reimbursed according to State policies.

Minimum RequirementsAssociate's degree AND three (3) years or more of experience in directly related customer service, additional college education may be substituted on a 6-months for semester basis;
OR
High School diploma or equivalent AND five (5) years or more of experience in directly related customer service.
