Overview

The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking a Supervisor for its Training & Development team. This leadership position involves overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs for DMV staff. Candidates should possess strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, excellent communication skills, and a working knowledge of adult learning techniques.

 

This position will require occasional travel throughout Vermont. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45am to 4:30pm, with occasional overtime. Remote work is currently not offered for this position.

In accordance with Title 23, Section 102(d), an applicant must agree to be finger-printed and pass a background investigation to be eligible for this position. The background investigation may include criminal, financial and traffic records checks. Hiring managers will notify applicants who are in the final stage of the interview process of the finger-printing and background check requirement, to which an applicant must agree to be deemed eligible for this position. Environmental Factors

Duties are carried out in a variety of settings including standard office, classroom, and on-the-job settings. Some field travel is required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education or field related to training and development AND one (1) year or more of experience in education, training, program, or staff development.
OR
High School diploma or equivalent AND three (3) or more of experience in education, training, program, or staff development.
OR
Three (3) or more years as a Motor Vehicle Direct Client Service Specialist or higher INCLUDING one (1) year as a supervisor or team lead.
