Description
Stifels Public Finance Bridge Program is a selective two-day career exploration and professional development seminar where motivated undergraduate sophomores will gain insight into how Public Finance sits at the intersection of fixed income investment banking and public policy. Selected attendees will participate in both lecture style and interactive programming, as well as networking activities with Stifel bankers. These activities will enable attendees to gain an inside look at the public finance industry overall, as well as what a career at Stifel Public Finance could look like for you.
What We're Looking For
- By the end of the program, participants will have a deeper understanding of the integral role that Public Finance plays in our everyday lives, and how Stifel's Public Finance business in particular serves as an industry wide leader. Selected participants will be given priority consideration for our 2026 Public Finance Summer Internship program.
- This two-day program will be hosted in our St. Louis Headquarters on March 27 & 28.
What You'll Bring
- Interested candidates should submit one PDF with a resume and a statement of interest.
- Statements of interest should be no longer than 500 words and should cover why the candidate is interested in public finance, what they hope to gain from the program, and why they believe diversity is important in both finance and public policy.
- This is an in-person program. Candidates must be able to travel to St. Louis, Missouri on Wednesday, March 26 and be available to fully participate during the event dates: March 27 - 28. Participants will travel home on the afternoon/evening of March 28. Please note that Stifel will assume all travel costs for attendees.
- The application deadline is Monday, February 17, 2025.
- Resume must include expected graduation month/year and GPA.
- Resume must be submitted in PDF format. Word documents will not be accepted.
- Demonstrated interest in both finance and public policy.
- Interested in pursuing a career in banking.
- Demonstrated track record of achievement in academics and extracurricular activities.
- Driven, proactive, and team-oriented.
- Exceptional problem solving, analytic, and Microsoft Office skills.
- Authorization to work in the U.S..
Education & Experience
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 May 2027.
- Minimum GPA of 3.3 or above.
Systems & Technology
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
